Bisexual Awareness Week 2023: Celebrating the invisible community

Bisexual Awareness Week is celebrated every year from September 16-22 to raise awareness of bisexuality and the challenges that bisexual people face. Bisexual people are often invisible in society, and they may experience discrimination from both straight and gay people.

There are a number of reasons why bisexual people have a hard time getting recognised by society. One reason is that bisexuality is often misunderstood. Some people believe that bisexual people are just confused or that they are not really gay or straight. Others believe that bisexual people are more likely to cheat on their partners.

Another reason why bisexual people are often invisible is that they may feel pressure to hide their sexuality. This is because they may fear discrimination or rejection from friends, family, or society. As a result, many bisexual people stay in the closet and do not come out to others.

Bisexual Awareness Week is an important time to celebrate the diversity of bisexuality and to raise awareness of the challenges that bisexual people face. It is also a time to encourage bisexual people to be visible and to be proud of their sexuality.

One way to celebrate bisexual pride is to wear an RCREW bracelet. RCREW creates bracelets and other accessories that celebrate diversity and inclusion. Our bracelets are a great way to show your support for bisexuality and to be visible every day.

If you are bisexual, or if you know someone who is, please join us in celebrating Bisexual Awareness Week. Let's raise awareness of bisexuality and let's show our support for the bisexual community!
